Business Development Manager Healthcare Solutions About Manepa Medical Established in 1971, Manepa Medical is a leading supplier of medical equipment, decontamination solutions, consumables, technical services, validation, and calibration support to the healthcare, pharmaceutical, laboratory, and life sciences sectors throughout Ireland. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an ambitious and commercially driven Business Development Manager to support the expansion of our business across all product and service divisions. The Role Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities across the full Manepa Medical portfolio. This is a strategic, customer-facing role focused on driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and strengthening relationships with healthcare providers, pharmaceutical companies, laboratories, and key stakeholders throughout Ireland. The successful candidate will be expected to develop opportunities across: Clinical and medical equipment Decontamination and sterilisation equipment Washer disinfectors and autoclaves Endoscopy reprocessing equipment Consumables and accessories Service and maintenance contracts Validation and calibration services Water treatment and purification systems Key Responsibilities Business Development & Sales Growth Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities across public and private healthcare sectors, including nursing & care homes. Deliver sustainable sales growth across all product and service categories. Develop strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets. Build and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities using CRM systems and sales reporting tools. Generate opportunities through direct customer engagement, networking, industry events, and market intelligence. Clinical Equipment & Capital Sales Promote and sell a range of clinical, medical, and capital equipment solutions. Manage the complete sales cycle from initial opportunity through quotation, tender submission, negotiation, and contract award. Work closely with customers to understand clinical and operational requirements and develop appropriate solutions. Deliver product demonstrations, presentations, and technical discussions to clinical and procurement stakeholders. Service Contract & After-Sales Growth Identify opportunities to grow recurring revenue through service contracts, maintenance agreements, validation services, and consumable sales. Work closely with the Service Department to develop tailored support packages for customers. Promote lifecycle service solutions that maximise equipment uptime and customer value. Tender & Public Sector Opportunities Monitor and pursue HSE, NHS, and public procurement opportunities. Assist in the preparation of tender submissions, business cases, and commercial proposals. Develop relationships with procurement departments, estates teams, clinical users, infection prevention teams, and senior decision-makers. Account Management Develop and maintain long-term relationships with existing customers. Identify opportunities to increase market penetration within current accounts. Act as a trusted advisor, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention. Market Development Identify emerging market trends, competitor activity, and new opportunities. Provide market feedback and commercial intelligence to support strategic business decisions. Support the introduction of new products, technologies, and service offerings. Skills & Experience Essential Minimum 5 years' experience in business development, technical sales, medical sales, or healthcare sales. Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets. Experience managing complex sales cycles and high-value opportunities. Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills. Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building abilities. Self-motivated and capable of working independently. Full clean driving licence. Highly Desirable Experience selling into the HSE, NHS, private hospitals, nursing homes, pharmaceutical, laboratory, or healthcare sectors. Experience with clinical equipment, medical devices, decontamination equipment, capital equipment, or healthcare technologies. Knowledge of public procurement and tendering processes. Existing network of healthcare industry contacts. Understanding of service contracts, validation services, and lifecycle equipment support.
