Our client, a large multinational based in Drogheda, requires a Systems Engineer.
This is a permanent role within a high paced engineering team and arises due to a large and planned expansion of operations.

Key Responsibilities
The role involves providing professional engineering services, including but not limited to:
Acting as the Network Owner responsible for all servers, control system software, and communication networks.
Designing and programming software.
Software modifications, fault finding, PID loop setup and tuning.
Technical support to engineers on control systems.
Commissioning activities, including signal checking and ensuring functionality for new projects and modifications.
Maintaining operator stations, plant visualization software (e.g. WinCC).
Uploading and implementing new software or upgrades.
Working with expert engineers from control system suppliers.
Candidate Requirements
Ideal candidates will have:
Education & Experience:
Degree or equivalent qualification in a technical engineering-related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years' hands-on industry experience in a similar role.
Technical Skills:
Strong experience with Step7, Simatic Manager, and WinCC.
Familiarity with Windows operating systems, including security and network configuration.
Proficiency in PLC programming languages such as FBD (Function Block Diagram) and STL (Statement List).
Exposure to SQL.
System archiving/restoration, OT cyber security tools and best practices.
Relationship-building abilities.

Full training will be provided to expand and deepen the successful candidate's existing knowledge.
