Job Description
The Role of a Contract Research Officer is crucial in the development and implementation of the Ag Nav platform, which aims to provide data-driven solutions for sustainable agriculture practices.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop an econometric model to estimate economic returns across different farm systems and enterprises.
* Collaborate with researchers and stakeholders to design and implement studies that address critical questions related to agricultural sustainability.
* Analyze large datasets from various sources, including Teagasc's National Farm Survey, to identify trends and patterns relevant to agricultural decision-making.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Agricultural Economics Background, strong analytical skills using SPSS or R software packages.
A Master's degree or higher in Agricultural Economics (or equivalent) is required. A Ph.D. would be beneficial
as would additional research experience in environmental economics.
