Join to apply for the Network Development Engineer, Enterprise Network role at Amazon Web Services (AWS).Amazon's Enterprise Network team is looking to hire Network Engineers to help scale and automate one of the world's largest and most complex networks. The Enterprise Network provides mission‑critical global connectivity for internal services and business applications, datacenter infrastructure equipment, and more than 1,000,000 internal users. In this role you will look for innovative and creative ways to automate and scale next‑generation network architectures.Key ResponsibilitiesDeploy network infrastructure across all AWS network fabrics that support Amazon’s services.Deploy, scale, and automate our network across many global data centers, including existing footprints and new locations.Identify opportunities and develop tooling to increase scaling velocity and quality.Create simple, repeatable processes and continually improve existing processes.Work closely with internal customers on designs and solutions, bringing those from concept to production.Document and enforce our network standards, ensuring deployments meet those standards.Define platforms and frameworks that enable unprecedented scaling.Basic Qualifications5+ years of experience with major internet routing protocols, specifically BGP and OSPF.Solid knowledge of IP networking fundamentals and DNS/DHCP.Experience in automation via Perl or Python programming.Preferred QualificationsThorough understanding of TCP/IP networking, IP routing, network security architecture, and core technologies such as IP, TCP, OSPF/IS‑IS, BGP, MPLS, firewalls, ACLs, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, LDAP, etc.Experience with one or more vendor platforms: Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Arista, Citrix, F5, Fortinet, Palo Alto, etc.Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, with proven ability to resolve complex network problems.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.About the TeamAWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.
