Project Manager – HV/MV Electrical Projects
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of HV/MV electrical projects from planning through to commissioning. The role involves managing safety-critical projects, controlling budgets and programmes, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful, compliant delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage end-to-end delivery of HV/MV electrical projects (planning, execution, commissioning)
* Develop and control project programmes, budgets, resources, and risk registers
* Lead engineers, contractors, and external stakeholders across all project phases
* Ensure compliance with electrical standards, safety regulations, and SHEQ requirements
* Coordinate design, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning activities
* Monitor progress, costs, KPIs, and provide regular reporting to senior management
* Identify and mitigate technical and commercial risks
* Drive continuous improvement across project delivery

Requirements & Experience
* 10+ years' project management experience within HV/MV electrical engineering
* Experience delivering substation, transmission, or distribution projects
* Strong knowledge of IEC, IEEE, and national electrical standards
* Proven financial and commercial project management capability
* Proficiency with project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Primavera)
* HV experience advantageous but not essential
* Renewables or grid modernisation experience is desirable
Education & Certifications
* Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related discipline
* Safe Pass and full driving licence
* Project or professional certification (PMP, PRINCE2, CEng, or equivalent) preferred

* Work in line with ISO management systems and SHEQ policies
* Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
