A leading specialist in turnkey data centre delivery is seeking an experienced Planning Lead to support major construction projects across Europe. Operating in a fast-growing and high-tech sector, the company delivers complex infrastructure from design through to commissioning and is recognised for its technical excellence and reliability.
The Role
Reporting to the Regional Planning Manager, you will take ownership of developing and managing project schedules, ensuring effective planning across all phases of delivery. You'll play a key role in monitoring progress, identifying risks, and supporting proactive decision-making to keep large-scale projects on track.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, maintain and review master construction programmes and project controls.
* Prepare progress reports and present updates to senior management.
* Liaise with project teams, clients and subcontractors to monitor progress and resolve planning issues.
* Establish resource requirements and ensure alignment across pre-construction, construction and commissioning.
* Produce reporting tools, variance analysis and recommended corrective actions.
* Represent the Planning function in key meetings and support broader client relationship management.
* About You
* Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
* 6+ years' planning experience in the construction industry, ideally with a main contractor.
* Experience on large-scale projects—data centre or high-tech builds desirable.
* Strong knowledge of construction sequencing and planning processes.
* Skilled in Primavera P6 and/or Asta Powerproject; BIM/digital construction experience a plus.
* Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Able to work to demanding deadlines with strong commercial awareness.
