We are currently recruiting a Groups, Conference and Events Sales Executive-Maternity leave cover to join our Commercial team at Carton House.

Key Responsibilities:


* Liaise with clients to oversee the development, coordination and delivery of conferences, meetings and private events.
* To produce detailed function sheets for each event and to send out in a timely fashion - to then work in collaboration with our operations team to ensure the delivery of the event exceeds our client's expectations.
* To communicate, maintain and develop new and existing client relationships.
* Manage operational and administrative functions to ensure specific projects are delivered efficiently.
* Ensuring excellent customer service and quality of service at all times.
* To work as part of the sales team; to contribute to & assist senior management in promoting hotel goals.
* Ensure there is fluid communication of all events to all hotel departments.
* To promote sell-up opportunity, cross-sell of F&B outlets as appropriate.

The successful candidate will have:

* Have a real understanding of hotel operations and specifically Conference and Events.
* 1-2 years experience in a similar role.
* Passion, energy, enthusiasm.
* The ability to work under pressure.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to work on own initiative.
* Strong communication, negotiation and contract management skills.
* Knowledge of Opera ideal but not essential.
* Previous 4/5* hotel experience.
* A structured and organized approach to work planning
