We also cross-sell the full range of wholesale products and services offered by the Scotiabank Group.Programme Overview:Scotiabank offers an exciting opportunity to support the the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) team with a focus on the Global Banking & Markets division of a global bank headquartered in Canada commencing in June 2026. This 10-week programme is designed for students in their penultimate year of university, and offers unique insights into many of the bank's business areas as well as the opportunity to learn the nature of the control framework that protects the bank against key financial crime risks including sanctions. You will learn how AML monitors the strategies employed by the bank to mitigate key risks as well as the responsibilities and mandates of the Bank's 'three lines of defence'. What You Can Expect: Assist with implementing/enhancing the control frameworkHelp to administer various monitoring activitiesPrepare reports and presentationsPool and manipulate sources of data for analysis and reportingReview the local regulatory environment within which the bank operatesUnderstand the Policies, Procedures and Standards governing the Bank's AML/ATF frameworkGain experience testing control effectivenessComplete an intern project assignment and present it to the wider teamAny other ad hoc work tasks assigned by managementProgramme Highlights:Our internship is designed to give you real insight into life at Scotiabank.
