Position: Residential Support Worker
Employer: Lotus Care
Location: Clonalsee, Co. Laois
Hours: Average 42 hours per week (12‑hour shifts, days & nights)
Key Responsibilities
Provide high‑quality, person‑centred care and support to service owners.
Assist service owners with personal care, hygiene, feeding, and daily living activities.
Support the emotional, social, and physical wellbeing of service owners.
Maintain a clean, safe, and secure environment in line with health and safety standards and individual care plans.
Promote and advocate for the rights, dignity, and individual needs of service owners.
Support participation in community and recreational activities.
Monitor and report safeguarding, welfare, or health concerns in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Carry out additional duties as required by management.
Candidate Requirements
Minimum QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare Support, Social Care, or equivalent qualification.
Previous experience supporting children or adults with intellectual and/or physical disabilities.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Commitment to delivering high standards of care and support.
This role is also suitable for Experienced Support Workers, Assistant Support Workers, Care Workers, Healthcare Workers, High Support Specialists, Senior Support Workers, Senior Care Assistants and Care Assistants.
