As a Dispatch Clerk, you will perform clerical duties associated with the Dispatch department and Supply Chain Analysts for Dot Transportation.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
* Manage phone calls, messages, drivers, etc.
* Assist with customer and vendor appointments and driver communication
* Prepare and analyze Excel spreadsheets
* Communicate with drivers regarding schedules and work assignments
* Enter and update data in operating systems accurately
* Serve as a backup for various DTI positions
* Apply lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position
YOU MUST HAVE
* High School Diploma, GED, or relevant work experience
* Strong mathematical and reading skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
* Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines
YOU MAY ALSO HAVE
* Administrative or clerical experience (preferred)
* Effective verbal and written communication skills
* Experience working independently and in teams
* Good organizational skills
