As a Furniture Warehouse /Delivery Driver you will be part of a delivery team consisting of you and a qualified driver/warehouse operative.
You will assist with loading, unloading, assembling furniture, and working with your colleague to take a variety of beautiful, well-constructed home furnishings to the homes of our customers.
The role comes with the opportunity to earn extra through incentives - OTE Salary of €33k - €35k
Hours of work are 07:00 – 16:30 Mon-Fri
Responsibilities and Duties
Prepares vehicles for loading, ensuring that the vehicle is empty and free of debris or other materials.
Loads furniture and/or other merchandise onto vehicles, ensuring that items are arranged according to standard accepted practices and procedures to minimize shifting during transport; utilizes protective coverings and restraint devices, as necessary.
Removes furniture and other merchandise from the vehicle by properly handling such items to prevent damage.
Performs routine maintenance of the truck, as necessary; inspects truck equipment and supplies, including tyres, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water; reports maintenance needs to the Warehouse Supervisor & Deliveries Supervisor
Enhance the customer's shopping experience.
Consistently interact with our customersin a courteous and professional manner.
Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism.
Learn and develop skills to assemble furniture in a customer's home as well as minor touch up and furniture repair.
Consistently make good decisions with minimal supervision.
Work safely in a customer-focused, fast-paced environment.
Safely and efficiently move product within the warehouse area
Operate powered equipment as needed such as forklift
Receive and unload product from containers
Handling of goods inwards
Sorting and placing items on racks and shelves
Performing warehouse inventory controls
Organising transfers and loading goods onto delivery vehicles from stores
Provide the highest level of picking standards of customer products
Protect and handle all stock to ensure ZERO damage
Understand your department's action plans and support the goals and targets
Use of handheld scanners, voice system
Qualifications and skills:
A minimum of 1 year of experience driving long wheelbase vans.
Counterbalance Forklift Licence
Must have a valid driver's license – B license
Must be comfortable reading maps and operating GPS units
Ability to perform heavy manual labour for extended periods of time as necessitated by work assignments.
Ability to consistently lift/move furniture, bedding, and accessories.
Must have excellent communication and organisational skills.
