About the Role
* Provide comprehensive care and support to individuals with disabilities, promoting independence and well-being.
* Support residents with daily living needs, including personal care and medication administration.
* Maintain and update care plans as a keyworker, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration with colleagues and external partners.
* Administer medication and maintain accurate medical records, adhering to health and safety protocols.
* Implement infection control procedures, prioritizing the health and wellbeing of service users and staff.
* Contribute to service development and continuous improvement, driving positive change and enhancing the quality of life for service users.
* Take on shift leadership responsibilities when required, demonstrating effective leadership and problem-solving skills.
* Ensure confidentiality in compliance with GDPR and Data Protection legislation, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
* Participate in fire safety checks, training, and skill development opportunities, maintaining currency and relevance in your practice.
Requirements
* Qualification in Social Care (Level 7 or higher), with a strong foundation in disability services and healthcare.
* Registration (or in the process of registering) as a Social Care Worker with CORU by November 2025, demonstrating commitment to ongoing professional development.
* Previous experience in disability services, healthcare, or caregiving, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality care and support.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, including the Health Act 2007 and HIQA regulations.
* Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners.
* Compassion, patience, and dedication to enhancing the quality of life for service users, with a customer-centric approach to service delivery.
