Overview
Our client is an established and growing early-stage investment company. They are seeking a Financial Controller to lead group-wide financial operations and support strategic decision-making across the business. This role reports directly to the CFO and has line management responsibility.
Responsibilities
* Oversee financial operations across the group including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and cash flow management
* Deliver timely and accurate monthly and annual financial reports
* Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring reconciliations and transfer pricing adjustments are accurate
* Maintain compliance with all regulatory and tax reporting obligations
* Partner with external auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies
* Lead revenue analysis and optimisation strategies
* Manage financial risks including compliance, fraud, and cybersecurity risks
* Support business leaders with financial planning, commercial insight, and performance analysis
* Lead and develop a high-performing finance team
Requirements
* Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent)
* 5+ years post-qualification experience as a Financial Controller, ideally in a regulated or global organisation
* Strong technical accounting knowledge and reporting skills
* Proficiency with financial systems and advanced Excel skills
* Proven leadership and stakeholder management experience
* Strong analytical mindset and commercial acumen
* Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
