We are currently seeking a seasoned Mechanical Project Manager to oversee the coordination of mechanical systems in a pharma plant. You will be responsible for ensuring that HVAC, piping, and utilities meet GMP standards while supporting commissioning, validation, and overall project delivery goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Control all aspects of selected projects including planning, budgeting, and scheduling from conception to completion.
2. Coordinate with design and engineering teams to ensure client specifications are met.
3. Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor project progress, identify and resolve issues, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
4. Establish and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
5. Manage financial aspects of each project, including cost control, budgeting, and forecasting.
6. Ensure all work complies with relevant legislation, codes, and standards, including health and safety regulations.
7. Implement measures to monitor, review, and control expenditure.
8. Collaborate with Directors and Site Managers to support and recommend strategies, identify potential risks or issues, and find resolutions.
9. Issue weekly progress reports to the client and engineering manager.
10. Submit monthly progress reports to Senior Management/Directors.
Candidate Requirements
* A mechanical background with a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience as a Project / Contracts Manager in the construction industry with a mechanical project engineer background.
* Experience working with MEP engineering contractors or Main Contractors on Life Science, Semi-Conductor, or Data Centre projects is required.
* Knowledge of Mechanical, HVAC, and Process systems, including their design, installation, and operation.
* Possess a full driving license and ability to travel within Europe on occasion.
