The Team and the Opportunity
As part of our Data Analytics and AI team, the Data Architect role is pivotal in enabling clients to derive significant value from their information assets. Through collaboration and domain expertise, our team embeds innovative data analytics solutions into existing business areas, transforming data into strategic assets. We seek a Data Architect who leverages data to solve complex problems and drive business outcomes.
Key responsibilities include driving growth by developing client relationships and delivering first‑class customer experience on high‑profile engagements.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Lead diverse teams with varying skill sets across Data and Analytics technologies.
* Adapt leadership style to fit team, client, and cultural needs, anticipate and identify risks, and elevate issues as appropriate.
* Create a positive learning culture and coach junior staff, sharing best practices and technical knowledge.
* Lead the design and implementation of data artefacts, including data modelling, integration, storage, and governance based on industry best practices and client‑specific requirements.
* Apply data modelling techniques to create Enterprise Data Models.
* Implement metadata management, data quality, and data testing concepts.
* Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications and architectural designs.
* Assess existing data architectures, identify improvement areas, and recommend remediation plans.
* Develop and oversee data migration strategies, ensuring integrity and minimal disruption.
* Act as a trusted advisor on data architecture, governance, quality, and security matters.
* Stay current with emerging technologies, trends, and standards to drive innovation.
Qualifications
* Minimum 7 years of experience in data analysis and strategy, with a proven record of creating impactful visual stories from complex datasets.
* Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
* Expertise in data modelling, database design, and SQL across multiple platforms.
* Extensive knowledge of data integration, ETL processes, and data warehouse design.
* Experience designing and implementing data governance frameworks.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
* Excellent client‑facing skills, building rapport and communicating effectively.
* Proven leadership in mentoring teams and driving successful project outcomes.
Preferred Additional Experience
* Continuous learning of industry trends to apply best practices.
* Consulting experience providing strategic advice and practical solutions.
* Familiarity with relational, NoSQL, and cloud‑based data platforms.
