Job Title: Technical Leadership Role
This is a high-profile technical leadership opportunity within the company's R&D department. As a Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for leading cross-project ownership of sustaining design and development, working closely with design engineers to identify solutions that meet product performance requirements while leveraging existing capabilities to meet cost of goods targets.
You will provide technical leadership and take ownership of critical technical tasks in the execution of product development projects. This includes identifying and managing technical risk across projects, in partnership with project leads, developing test capability to evaluate product performance and safety requirements, and identifying and supporting development of processes for new products.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical leadership capability in the development of new products, with an expert understanding of disease states and the ability to generate creative product solutions to address unmet needs. They will also possess excellent technical problem-solving and analytical abilities, as well as strong metals and catheter design, development, and technical skills based on fundamental engineering principles.
Additionally, the successful candidate will have specific experience with Medical Devices, cardiovascular, or neurovascular implants or instruments, and be a creative problem solver with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
