4-Star Hotel – Wicklow

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: Dependent on experience

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a 4-star hotel in Wicklow, for an experienced Conference & Banqueting Manager. The successful candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and a strong background in weddings and events management.


Key Requirements

* Experience managing weddings, conferences, and events, with excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Experience training F&B staff in service standards, etiquette, and guest interaction.
* Competent in administration, report writing, emails, and training plan preparation.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a high-performing team.
* Highly organised, detail-oriented, and committed to exceeding guest expectations.
* Professional presentation and excellent oral and written communication skills.


Key Responsibilities

* Oversee all functions, manage setup and breakdown of function rooms, and provide feedback to senior management.
* Communicate updates or changes to the events team before client confirmation and represent the venue in the absence of the Events Manager.
* Assist Sales, Events, and Wedding Teams in delivering seamless banqueting services, staying up to date with menus, pricing, and promotions to optimise room utilisation.
* Support promotional events for guests and staff, maintain knowledge of new products, and ensure standards in presentation and service are met.
* Deliver banqueting services to the highest standards, responding promptly to guest requests, liaising with other departments, and monitoring competitor activity to suggest improvements.
* Maintain accurate logs and checklists, promote teamwork and consistency, organise event storage areas, and train and develop the team to ensure service excellence.
