Pig Farm Manager
Pig Farm Manager – Northern Ireland – £40, + Detached House – Overtime + Leadership Opportunity
The Job:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Pig Farm Manager to join a large-scale pig farming operation in Northern Ireland, managing between 10,–20, pigs across multiple sites, including 8 out farms. This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring responsibility for all aspects of daily farm operations and oversight of flat decks or farrowing, depending on allocation.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Feeding, serving and caring for pigs
- Administering vaccinations and maintaining veterinary records
- Moving pigs between housing units
- Monitoring and supporting several out farms (main base is on core site)
- Supervising daily farm tasks and allocating duties to workers
- Ordering supplies and coordinating maintenance
- Loading pigs for transport to the factory (including 2am/3am starts twice weekly, rotated among workers and paid as overtime)
