Salary:
€65,000 - €70,000

BACKGROUND

University Concert Hall (UCH) has been entertaining audiences for over 30 years and plays a leading role in the arts both regionally and nationally. Since its opening, as Ireland's first purpose-built concert hall, UCH has become a centre of artistic excellence. It attracts household names in music and comedy, enriching the breadth and depth of cultural life in the region.

The largest live entertainment venue in the Midwest, UCH has a 1,083-seat auditorium and is situated on the University of Limerick Campus. It is a multi-function space, well suited to a diverse range of events and fully compatible with radio and TV broadcasting. In 2024 UCH welcomed over 128,000 customers to more than 230 events from music to dance, musical theatre, comedy, TV Broadcasts, community events, conferences and graduations.

THE ROLE

In response to the organisation's success and growth UCH is seeking a Deputy Director to expand the organisation's operational and strategic leadership capacity. This new senior leadership position is a pivotal role. It will support the Director's strategic focus while leading operational delivery and organisational development, ensuring UCH grows sustainably, continues to extend its reach, and remains artistically ambitious.

The ideal candidate will be a confident, collaborative leader and an experienced manager. You will thrive working in a busy environment and comfortably balance operational oversight with external stakeholder engagement. Commercially minded and emotionally intelligent, you are deeply committed to operational excellence, artistic ambition, and a positive organisational culture.

If you're motivated by the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the arts sector and Ireland's Midwest region and are ready to help shape the next chapter of University Concert Hall's growth, this role offers significant scope for professional growth, strategic influence, and sectoral impact.

Whether your background is in arts and culture, events, hospitality, tourism or another relevant sector, we'd love to hear from you.
