Job Title: Environmental Specialist
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Specialist to support our growing division. This role is critical to ensuring full compliance with updated environmental requirements and integrating these into our existing management systems.
This position involves leading the integration of all new EPA licence requirements into our Environmental Management System (EMS), updating and developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), documentation, and internal processes to reflect new regulatory obligations, reviewing, updating, and aligning digital systems and environmental data platforms with revised compliance requirements, developing, completing, and submitting required environmental studies, assessments, notifications, and reports within regulatory timelines, supporting the ongoing maintenance of ISO 14001 certification, ensuring alignment between the EMS and regulatory/licence updates, providing training and awareness sessions to relevant staff on new environmental procedures, compliance obligations, and best practices, collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless implementation of environmental controls and operational practices, and gradually assuming responsibility for broader environmental compliance activities as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline;
* Proven experience with ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems;
* Strong background in EPA licence compliance, ideally within pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing environments;
* Demonstrated ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into practical systems, procedures, and controls;
* Experience developing environmental reports, assessments, and submissions;
* Strong organisational, documentation, and project management skills;
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deliver training and work cross-functionally;
* Health & Safety experience is an advantage but not essential.
