Specialist Technical Recruiter in Brightwater (Technology & Life Sciences) Cloud Engineer -Tech Lead 12 month contract, Dublin

About the PositionMy client is looking for an experienced contractor to join as a Cloud Engineer – Tech Lead and who will implement and manage technical execution on the Azure cloud for a small set of products.
The focus for this position will be the development, implementation and maintenance of Azure Cloud hosted Products leveraging ML output and processed IoT.
The successful candidate should be familiar with data related products and compute choices in the public cloud eco-system and understand how best to secure and manage these services in a high-availability environment.
ResponsibilitiesDesign, configure and manage Infrastructure on the Azure Cloud for utilisation by products.Deliver and integrate features with upstream and backend dependenciesFulfil the role of Tech Lead on a new Team established to service Product requirementsProvide guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members.Work alongside the Product, UI/UX and Architecture teams to design new features for the productEnsure security and data quality standards are established and enforcedStay current with emerging trends in Cloud technologies and evaluate their impact on our productsBuild infrastructure using code (IaC) and repeatable designs.Identify opportunities for improvement, optimize performance and scalability of existing Cloud solutionsSetup, maintain related documentation and standards and facilitate knowledge distribution across the Teams.Troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues and provide timely resolution to technical challengesPrioritize and manage work to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environmentPartner with internal dependent teams to design best practices and standards for integrated systems facilitating a shared Product solution.Mentor and train junior members of the team.
Experience/RequirementsPrior experience in a Tech/Team leads software engineer roleBachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field or equivalent experienceStrong software product development experience on a public cloud ecosystem (AWS, Azure, GCP).Extensive hands-on experience developing Cloud solutions which demonstrate a strong understanding of software engineering principlesExperience with REST/ JSON APIs, Java, Microservices, Containerization (Images, Docker)Excellent knowledge of a Public Cloud (Azu, AWS, GCP) Services such as – PaaS, FaaSWorkflow orchestrators, Service Principal, Containers, Secret management etc.Experience of IaC using tools such as Terraform, Pulumi etc.Strong programming experience with two or more languages (e.g Python, Java) and scripting for automation (e.g., Bash, PowerShell).Experience of hands-on utilization of SQL with large data volumes.Understanding of cloud security principles and practices.Hands on experience of securing cloud applications.Knowledge of data pipelines with an awareness on the importance of fault tolerance within the pipelines.Experience in using modern software engineering tooling (Jenkins, GHA, Sonar, Twist-Lock or alternatives etc.)
and process in terms of Agile delivery in a CI/CD work environment.Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Preferred Qualification:Experience with databases, data warehousing, and big data technologies (e.g., Databricks, Spark, DBT).Experience in the healthcare industryExcellent time management, communication, decision making, and presentation skillsDisplay a strong desire to achieve and attain high levels of both internal and external customer satisfaction
Remuneration PackageA competitive daily rate along with high possibility of extension.
