BHA Construction is a leading construction company specialising in residential projects for over 40 years. We are currently seeking a motivated Land Surveyor to join our team. As a Land Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and precise positioning of construction elements on our sites and adherence to project plans and specifications.Responsibilities:Conduct topographic surveys to gather data for accurate site planning and layout.Interpret drawings & specs to determine the precise location of construction elements.Identify potential challenges or constraints related to site conditionsEstablish and maintain control points, benchmarks, and reference lines for accurate positioning of construction elements.Use surveying instruments, including GPS, total stations, and laser levels, to set out and mark reference points on the site.Ensure the correct positioning and alignment of foundations, structures, utilities, roads, and other construction elements as per the project specifications.Conduct regular checks and inspections to verify that construction work is carried out in compliance with design drawings, plans, and specifications.Identify and rectify any discrepancies from the design and report them for resolution.Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure alignment with project specifications.Maintain accurate records and documentation related to setting out activities, including survey data, reports, and as-built drawings.Contribute to the preparation of handover documentation and as-built drawings upon project completion.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.Proven experience as a Land Surveyor, Setting Out Engineer or Site Engineer in the construction industry.Proficiency in surveying instruments and software, such as Total Stations, GPS, and AutoCAD.Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.Familiarity with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various construction sitesJoining BHA Construction LTD as a Land Surveyor provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to the successful delivery of our construction projects.
