Vendor Oversight Manager
Brightwater are delighted to be exclusively engaged by a major financial services group based in Dublin city centre that now require a Vendor Oversight Manager. The Senior Manager for Vendor Oversight plays a pivotal role in managing and enhancing the Outsourcing Governance framework.
This position ensures adherence to Central Bank of Ireland regulatory requirements, stays informed on evolving outsourcing regulations, and supports the Director at Group outsourcing forums and committees. The role contributes strategically to the direction of these bodies, driving compliance and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the first line of defense for outsourcing activities, ensuring compliance with complex regulatory and policy requirements.
* Monitor and interpret existing and proposed legislation, regulatory announcements, and industry practices to ensure compliance.
* Develop and implement procedures to meet regulatory obligations and mitigate risks.
* Validate controls and project plans to ensure adherence to laws, rules, and risk management best practices.
* Provide guidance and support to business units in responding to regulatory or audit reports.
* Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders, senior management, and regulators, maintaining professionalism in challenging situations.
* Provide technical guidance and training to less experienced team members, contributing to team objectives.
Skills and Experience:
* Experience
: 4–8 years in a management-level role within insurance or financial services, with deep expertise in Third-Party Administrator (TPA) or outsourced servicing models (e.g., operations, middle/back-office services, IT services).
* Regulatory Knowledge
: Comprehensive understanding of insurance and/or financial services regulations. (ie operational resilience)
* Risk Management
: Strong grasp of risk management principles and best practices.
* Analytical Skills
: Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to provide credible challenges to stakeholders.
* Interpersonal Skills
: Collaborative, solution-oriented, and proactive, with a "can-do" attitude and the ability to build strong networks across teams and
