Role Overview
As a Person in Charge, you will be the registered leader of a residential service for people with disabilities. Your mission is to lead a dedicated team, delivering high-quality, person-centred care in a safe, respectful, and empowering environment.
Key Responsibilities

Lead person-centred, rights-based support planning
Oversee health, wellbeing, and clinical governance (including medication management)
Manage, develop, and inspire your team
Ensure service quality and HIQA compliance
Lead inspections, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
Oversee safeguarding, risk management, and incident review processes
Build strong relationships with families, MDTs, and stakeholders
Manage budgets and ensure responsible financial stewardship

Essential Qualifications and Experience

Relevant health or social care qualification
QQI Level 7 (preferred)
QQI Level 5 (essential)
QQI Level 6 Management Qualification (essential)
Management experience in disability or social care services
Experience in HIQA-regulated environments
Proven ability to lead teams and deliver high-quality, person-centred care
