Business Development Manager
to focus on their Distribution Markets.
About the Role:
As Business Development Manager for Distribution Markets, you will be responsible for driving growth and strategic alignment across a portfolio of international distributors. Acting as the primary commercial link between Ei Electronics and regional partners, you will shape long-term market strategies, lead commercial negotiations, and ensure local execution supports global objectives.
This newly created role will require international travel and periodic regional assignments, with a base out of Shannon, Clare.
Key Responsibilities:
* Own and deliver multi-year growth strategies across assigned distribution markets, setting clear performance targets and KPIs.
* Lead structured Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to drive accountability across sales results, marketing activity, forecasting, and inventory management.
* Identify new market opportunities, evaluate potential distribution partners, and support market entry strategies alongside Product and Marketing teams.
* Manage distributor agreements, including renewals, pricing frameworks, rebate structures, and compliance with commercial standards.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and Operations to ensure partners are fully enabled from both a technical and commercial perspective.
* Provide senior leadership with performance dashboards, market insights, and strategic recommendations, highlighting risks and investment priorities.
* Mentor junior business development team members and contribute to the evolution of scalable global partner management processes.
Requirements:
* 5–10 years' experience in international business development, channel management, or commercial leadership roles, ideally within manufacturing, electronics, or building technologies.
* Demonstrated success managing distributor or channel partner networks across multiple international markets.
* Strong commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to analyse P&L, pricing models, and market dynamics.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with proven ability to operate effectively across cultures and at executive level.
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline required; MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification highly desirable.
* Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 30–40%) and undertake short-term regional assignments as required.
