Senior Associate Payroll (Dublin) Every detail matters especially when it comes to people.
An established multinational organisation is seeking a Senior Associate, Payrollto join its Dublin-based team.
This role supports accurate, compliant, and timely payroll operations across multiple Irish entities, working closely with Payroll, HR Operations, and Finance to deliver an excellent employee experience.
The Role Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in deliveringhigh-volume weekly and monthly payrolls, ensuring precision, data integrity, and compliance in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities Process high-volume weekly payrolls (essential)and monthly payrolls across multiple Irish entities.
Deliver payroll accurately undertight and non-negotiable deadlines.
Reconcile and validate payroll data across multiple systems (HRIS, time & attendance, Excel).
Support managers with payroll sign-off and strict compliance with time and attendance policies.
Act as a key contact for payroll-related queries from employees, HR, and business partners, maintaining a strong customer-service focus.
Prepare and maintain payroll documentation for internal, external, and ad-hoc audits.
Support HR and Finance with reconciliations, payment approvals, and bank funding confirmations.
Provide holiday and absence cover within the payroll team to ensure uninterrupted payroll delivery.
Maintain detailed process notes, audit trails, and compliance documentation.
Participate in system testing, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support HR administration by tracking incomplete or missing data across systems.
Assist with statutory reporting including ESA and Gender Pay Gap reporting.
Essential Experience & Skills Minimum 3 years hands-on experience running high-volume weekly payrolls in the Republic of Ireland (mandatory).
Experience working toweekly payroll cycleswithin a large or multinational organisation.
Recognised payroll qualification (IPASS or equivalent).
Strong technical knowledge of Irish payroll, taxation, and statutory compliance.
Experience with payroll systems and third-party payroll providers (Workday / Softworks advantageous).
Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs).
Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict payroll deadlines.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Proactive, continuous-improvement mindset.
