The role works cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain to deliver a robust demand plan as part of the monthly S&OP (or IBP) process.This role requires strong analytical capability, commercial awareness, and the ability to challenge assumptions while aligning stakeholders around a single forecast.⸻Key ResponsibilitiesDemand Forecasting• Develop and maintain rolling demand forecasts (weekly, monthly, and quarterly) at SKU and customer level.• Incorporate historical sales data, promotional activity, seasonality, and market trends.• Manage baseline vs incremental volume forecasting.• Improve forecast accuracy and bias through continuous review and analysis.S&OP / IBP Process• Own the demand planning inputs into the monthly S&OP cycle.• Facilitate demand review meetings with Sales and Marketing.• Challenge and align customer forecasts, promotional assumptions, and new product expectations.• Present risks, opportunities, and mitigation plans to senior stakeholders.Commercial & Promotional Planning• Model the impact of promotions, new listings, and range changes.• Work closely with Sales and Key Account teams to validate assumptions.• Track promotional performance vs forecast and feed learnings back into future plans.Data & Analysis• Analyse forecast accuracy.• Identify trends, anomalies, and risks to supply.• Maintain demand planning tools, master data, and assumptions.• Support scenario planning and "what-if" analysis.Cross-Functional Collaboration• Partner with functions to ensure feasible supply plans.• Work with Finance to align demand plans with budget and latest forecasts.• Support new product launches with volume phasing and lifecycle planning.⸻Key Skills & ExperienceEssential• 2–5+ years' experience in Demand Planning, Forecasting, or Supply Chain within FMCG, retail, or distribution.• Strong analytical and numerical skills.• Experience working within an S&OP or IBP framework.• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, forecasting models).• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.Desirable• Experience with demand planning systems (e.g. SAP APO/IBP, Oracle, Anaplan, Slimstock, Forecast Pro).• Experience in food & beverage or perishable categories.• Knowledge of Irish retail, wholesale, or convenience channels.• Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related discipline.⸻Personal Attributes• Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership.• Comfortable challenging assumptions and driving alignment.• Commercially aware and customer-focused.• Structured thinker with the ability to manage complexity.• Proactive and solutions-oriented.⸻Package (Indicative – Ireland)• Competitive base salary (market aligned).• Annual performance bonus.• Pension contribution.• Hybrid working model.• Learning & development opportunities.
