ROLE: The Department Administrator will oversee administrative functions within the Automation Department, ensuring smooth operations across system user management, training curricula ownership, onboarding/offboarding processes, and team coordination.
This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage day-to-day User Account Administration for MES and Control Systems (including DeltaV, PLCs, Unicorn, Honeywell BAS).
Process System Access Requests and perform Password Resets.
Drive timely completion of training requirements within the department & take ownership of publishing bi-weekly training reports Review training curricula's regularly with team when roles change to help maintain accurate training material Organize training sessions for site training calendar Provide systems-related user support and troubleshooting.
Coordinate onboarding and offboarding of team members.
Chair weekly meetings with new starts and support them with their access.
Own and drive the 4-week window to get system access and training completed Organize monthly Department Safety Inspections.
Input department data into KPI dashboards weekly.
Support the Automation Team, track recurring issues and escalate for process fixes.
Collect feedback from the automation team to improve support.
Competencies: Previous experience in system administration is desirable.
Technical ability to generate, run, and analyze reports using the organizations reporting tools and systems Strong initiative and ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently.
Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to perform ad-hoc duties.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
