Service Manager
to lead and expand our Service & After-Sales operations.
This is a senior, hands-on leadership role with real influence—ideal for someone who thrives on operational control, team leadership, and driving service-led growth.
The Role
As
Service Manager
, you will take full ownership of Manepa Medical's service function, combining people leadership, technical oversight, and commercial responsibility. You will play a key role in:
* Efficiently
planning, controlling, and scheduling
field-based Engineers
* Managing
service contracts and SLAs
end-to-end
* Improving
service profitability, performance, and customer retention
* Supporting growth across
public and private sector healthcare
, including NHS/HSE environments
Key Responsibilities
Service Leadership & Control
* Full operational control of service delivery and engineer scheduling
* Maximise engineer utilisation while meeting SLA targets
* Act as escalation point for critical service issues
* Lead, develop, and retain a high-performing service team
Contracts, SLAs & Commercial Performance
* Own service contracts: pricing, review, renewal, and negotiation
* Drive contract renewals, retention, and upsell opportunities
* Ensure SLA compliance, margin protection, and KPI performance
* Manage service delivery in line with NHS/HSE governance and reporting requirements
Growth, Customers & Continuous Improvement
* Grow the existing service customer base
* Support tenders with service models, resourcing plans, and costings
* Use service data to improve efficiency, performance, and profitability
* Implement best-practice service processes aligned with healthcare regulations
Collaboration & Governance
* Work closely with Sales, Logistics, and Senior Management
* Support equipment installation, commissioning, and handover into service
* Deliver regular performance and commercial reporting
About You
Essential
* Engineering background (Mechanical and/or Electrical)
* 5+ years' experience in service management or similar leadership role
* Proven ability to schedule and control field-based service teams
* Strong experience managing service contracts and SLAs
* Commercially aware, data-driven, and customer-focused
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
* Full clean driving licence
Desirable
* Experience with
NHS and/or HSE
service contracts
* Knowledge of public-sector tendering and compliance
* Medical device or healthcare equipment experience
* Familiarity with service management/scheduling systems
