Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced paralegal or lawyer with 1-4 years of experience who is currently working in asset management, commercial, capital markets, or funds. This individual will be a key member of our growing legal team.
This role offers an opportunity for an ambitious candidate to embed themselves into a fast-growing management company in Ireland.
The job function involves providing legal and compliance support on general commercial matters and sales/marketing activities. The candidate will assist with regulatory approval and listing of new funds and products on the exchange traded notes platform, as well as supporting the Management Company and governance of funds.
Key Responsibilities and Scope
The responsibilities include:
* Policy and procedural updates reflecting Central Bank of Ireland's Fund Management Company guidance, ongoing regulatory developments, and other requirements determined by the Boards;
* Compiling monthly reports for Designated Persons with responsibility for Regulatory Compliance;
* Providing support to all Designated Persons, including coordination of monthly key performance indicator reports and ad hoc support as needed;
* Reviewing monthly reporting and collaborating with partners/sponsors, delegates, service providers, and colleagues;
* As required:
o Assisting with operational and fund risk identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting;
o Maintaining Key Risk Registers for Entities and Funds, monitoring KRIs, and supporting Designated Person for Fund and Operational Risk;
o Reviewing and updating the Risk Management Process, Policies, Procedures, and Risk Management Framework as needed;
o Assisting with incident management, root cause analysis, and process deficiencies;
Skills and Qualifications
* Experience:
o A qualified lawyer or experienced paralegal with 1-4 years of experience; or
o Between 1 to 4 years' experience working in asset management or fund management with strong project management skills;
* Proven track record in dealing with compliance-related and/or fund matters;
* Product development experience desirable but not essential;
* Ability to work independently within a small team, take ownership of projects, and collaborate in a cross-functional environment;
* Excellent academic record expected;
* Attention to detail, policy drafting skills, and ability to meet tight deadlines;
* Hard-working, energetic self-starter with an enthusiastic attitude;
* Exceptional organisational and interpersonal skills, comfortable dealing with senior management;
* Ability to multi-task and apply a pragmatic approach to problem-solving;
