Puck is a Catering Business established in we are looking for someone to lead the team into the next stage of the business. We now have a restaurant, food truck and catering business and the successful candidate will be required to oversee and manage all aspects of the business.
The successful candidate will need to have proven success in a similar role or robust and expansive experience in a sous chef role in a similar style casual fast paced working environment.
We are looking for someone to join our team who loves food, loves working with local food suppliers, will work with the companies goals emphasis and focus on sustainability and using locally sourced sustainable products.
Reporting to the Director. The responsibilities of this position:
* Kitchen Management - Highly organised and ability to handle busy fast paced work environment
* Food Costings and working with suppliers on pricing
* Training and upskilling of staff
* Delegation of tasks within the team
* Food inventory ordering and stock take
* Follow product recipes closely with an eye to detail to ensure product consistency
* Set and uphold high culinary standards
* Bring creativity and flair to the company's service
* Recipe development
* Implementing and maintaining all HACCP, the company's food hygiene and kitchen safety standards, quality assurance and control
* Communicating efficiently with management and staff on any issues that arise
* Requires a logistical and planning mindset
The ideal candidate will have:
* A relevant formal chef qualification with a minimum of 4-5 years' experience in either a production or catering kitchen
* Previous leadership experience is required
* Love of all things food and food trends
* Experience in banqueting/corporate events catering with the ability to demonstrate ability to cook for large numbers an advantage
* Pride in their work and passionate to be part of a small growing Irish artisan food company
* Knowledge and experience of working in both sweet and savoury sections
* High level of customer service skills
* Ability to take initiative and self-motivate
* Computer skills
* Excellent spoken and written English
* A full, clean driving license EU
* Two references required
* Level 2 or Higher HACCP Certificate (required)
* Stamp 1 Or Stamp 4 Or European Passport (required)
