About the Role
We are seeking an
AVI Support Engineer
to join the Product Management team for the
Avi Vantage Platform
(now part of VMware Broadcom). This role requires strong technical troubleshooting skills, excellent communication, and the ability to collaborate closely with engineering and customer-facing teams.
You will play a key role in understanding product functionality, analysing complex issues, and contributing to product stability and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
• Independently drive customer requirements and manage task prioritization
• Act as a communication bridge between customers and engineering teams
• Produce
in-depth technical analyses
, including root-cause analysis (RCA)
• Identify, log, and track product issues and coordinate resolution with engineering
• Create and maintain detailed support cases and contribute to
knowledge base articles
• Serve as a
Subject Matter Expert (SME)
for at least one Avi deployment model
• Support integrations with
vSphere, ESXi, NSX
and other virtualisation platforms
Skills & Experience Required
• Strong understanding of
networking layers
, troubleshooting processes, and virtualisation technologies (vSphere, ESXi, NSX)
• Excellent communication, documentation, time management, and process adherence
• Solid knowledge of
L4–L7 protocols
and application delivery concepts
• Familiarity with web technologies such as
HTTP, HTML, JavaScript
• Strong foundational knowledge of networking components:
– Routing, Switching, Firewalls, TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancing, etc.
• Working knowledge of
Linux OS
is a plus
• Experience with
REST APIs
, or programming in
Python / Java
