Overview
This role will be based in our
Limerick site.
Throughout the placement, you will be an integral part of Stryker's 2026 Cooperative cohort.
Tasks and responsibilities may include:
Together, with your Stryker team leader and college supervisor, identify a
Supply Chain project
along with project objectives, scope, success factors, milestones and evaluation
Supporting
cross functional teams
to develop best in class
sourcing strategies
for assigned suppliers and/or commodities in support of business objectives
Supporting the implementation of
supplier and/or commodity strategy
which will include spend/supply assessments, consolidation strategy, sourcing selection, financial and make v's buy analyses
Represent the
'voice of the supplier'
in the organization
Collaborate
with key stakeholders on
contract strategy for suppliers and create, negotiate, monitor and enforce
when applicable
Develop
strong relationships
with
key suppliers
as well as other disciplines within the businesses
Participate in
new product launches;
lead supplier selection, requests for quotes and insurance that suppliers are clear on product launch deliverables; collaborate with cross-functional teams for successful launch
Responsible for assuring
cost standards
are established for annual operating budgets
Ensures compliance with the
Quality, Safety and 5S Systems.
What you will need
Enrolled in an Irish or Northern Irish university course in
Supply Chain, Operations, Business, BIS
or other related courses for the duration of the placement
Honesty and integrity;
must comply with the quality system, regulations, and company policies
Self-motivated, flexible, and hardworking
