This is a builder’s role, not a support role.
We are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to join a Series-C startup who wants to ship real solutions into live customer environments and see the impact immediately.
You’ll work directly with customers, take ownership of problems (that are rarely defined!), and turn rough requirements into production-ready software, fast.
If you enjoy ambiguity, learning new systems on the fly, and being close to where product decisions actually happen, you’ll fit right in.
What you’ll do
Embed with customers to understand real, messy problems (technical and operational)
Design and build solutions using our platform, APIs, and data pipelines
Deploy and iterate directly in customer environmentsMove fluidly between backend engineering, integrations, and light frontend when needed
Troubleshoot production issues and improve solutions in real time
Feed customer learnings directly back into product and engineering roadmaps
What we’re looking for
Strong software engineering fundamentals (language-agnostic but Python is preferred, backend-leaning)
Comfortable owning problems end-to-end with minimal hand-holding
Experience shipping production systems, not just prototypes
Clear communicator who can work directly with customers
Bias for action: you prioritise progress over perfection
Ex-founding or early engineer experience a plus
High autonomy, high trust, high impact
Direct line from your code to customer outcomes
Real influence on how the product evolves
A fast-moving startup environment where good ideas win, regardless of title
