Clinical Specialist Radiographer PET CT Job Overview
As a Clinical Specialist Radiographer in PET CT, you will play a pivotal role in leading and guiding Radiographic staff to achieve exceptional service delivery on a daily basis.
1. Collaborate with RSM and CT Clinical Specialist to effectively manage PET CT patients.
2. Develop expertise as an experienced Nuclear Medicine Lead for the PET CT department.
3. Drive excellence in PET CT nuclear medicine processes and training to deliver high-quality patient care.
Maintain professional competence across multiple areas of the department and participate in rotating through other areas on a periodic basis to foster growth and development.
Key responsibilities include:
1. To oversee the management of PET CT patients in conjunction with RSM and CT Clinical Specialist.
2. To fulfill the requirement for an experienced Nuclear Medicine Lead for the PET CT department.
3. To undertake PET CT nuclear medicine processes and training with the aim of delivering outstanding patient care.
4. To lead on radiation safety associated with nuclear medicine processes within PET CT.
5. To develop and manage the PET CT QA programme and Nuclear Medicine Lab QA programme.
6. To provide proactive support to the Radiology team.
7. To contribute to the organisation and coordination of workflow within the department.
8. To stay up-to-date on all new developments applicable to PETCT Imaging.
9. To offer guidance and advice to junior members of staff.
10. To be responsible for and take care of all equipment including auxiliary equipment and operate it in a proper and safe manner according to the treatment plan.
