Healthcare Assistant – Comfort Homecare

Overview
The Health Care Assistant will provide compassionate, emotional and practical support to clients, ensuring their safety, dignity and well‑being. Working with a supportive team, you will contribute to clients’ independence and help maintain their quality of life in the home.
Key Duties
Deliver outstanding emotional, social and personal support to clients.
Follow all Comfort Homecare procedures and standards.
Keep detailed, accurate documentation of care activities.
Execute individualized care programmes tailored to each client’s needs.
Responsibilities
Provide hands‑on caregiving, including assistance with daily activities.
Safely facilitate patient moving and handling as per training.
Maintain hygiene, medication administration and health monitoring.
Support family members and liaise with medical professionals.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Healthcare Assistant.
Care Skills & Elderly Care Certificate or Healthcare Support qualification (preferred).
QQI Level 5 Healthcare qualification or equivalent, or commitment to complete one.
Valid full driving licence with personal transport available.
Positive, adaptable attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
Compassionate nature and commitment to person‑focused care.

Position Details
Part‑time or full‑time: 18‑40 hours per week.
Shift availability: Morning, Afternoon/evening, weekend roster, flexible scheduling.
