Summary: An EHS Specialist is required to support a construction project for a leading biopharmaceutical company based in East Cork. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring construction activities are carried out safely and in compliance with all relevant regulatory and corporate EHS requirements. Responsibilities: Coordinate and manage the Permit to Work system. Ensure compliance with EHS regulations related to PSCS/PSDP responsibilities for construction activities. Deliver EHS inductions to contractors and project personnel. Review and approve Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS). Prepare and maintain EHS reports, records, and statistics. Support the implementation and continuous improvement of EHS management systems, policies, and procedures. Conduct risk assessments and monitor the implementation of control measures. Monitor compliance with legislative and corporate EHS standards, ensuring readiness for internal and external audits. Assist in the development and coordination of emergency response procedures. Qualifications & Experience: Relevant third-level qualification in Occupational Health & Safety and/or Environmental discipline. Minimum 35 years experience in an EHS role, preferably in a construction environment within the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical sector. Strong working knowledge of Irish EHS legislation, especially related to construction projects. Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to engage with contractors and stakeholders across multidisciplinary teams.
