Step into a senior OLE Lead role where your electrification expertise directly shapes rail electrification across Ireland and Northern Ireland. You will influence national programmes, drive technical excellence, and build a high‑performing local team that delivers safe, reliable, and innovative electrification solutions for Jacobs’ growing rail portfolio.
Key Deliverables
Provide technical leadership as the OLE authority
Act as the primary point of technical expertise for all OLE engineering activities across Ireland, ensuring designs, assessments and decisions meet industry standards and client expectations
Lead OLE design and engineering delivery, managing compliance with current standards, legislation and safety requirements
Build, mentor and grow the regional OLE capability, engaging confidently with key Irish clients and championing innovative electrification solutions and best‑practice improvements across Jacobs’ regional rail portfolio
Qualifications
Degree/HNC or equivalent relevant experience; previous Design CRE experience; excellent communication skills.
Proven experience in OLE design, ideally within Ireland.
Ability to act as CRE (Contractors Responsible Engineer), SPE (Senior Project Engineer), or PE (Project Engineer) as required.
Experience with OLE ranges including OLEMI, UKMS, Mk3B, ATF, UK1.
Familiarity with isolation/section diagrams and update processes.
Understanding of earthing & bonding requirements for electrification.
Demonstrable experience implementing innovation within OLE design.
