An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Health Care Support Worker to join the Intensive Psychiatric Care Unit (IPCU) within Stratheden Hospital. Hollyview ward is a mixed 8 bedded purpose built unit providing quality care to adults with a diverse range of mental health issues within the Acute and Forensic services.

It would be advantageous but not compulsory for you to possess some experience working within mental health as per person specification but a full in-house Health Care Support Worker training will be provided.

The Band 3 role within Hollyview will include having delegated tasks from the Registered Mental Health Nurse but also requires the candidate to work autonomously. You must possess effective communication and interpersonal skills, have good administrative skills, demonstrate that you are a team worker and strive to provide high standards of quality of care.

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.

A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Prior to appointment.
