Opportunity
We are currently seeking an Ecotoxicologist for our Chemical Regulation and Food Safety Practice in Harrogate (UK), Nottingham (UK), London (UK), Dublin (IE), Mannheim (DE) or Basel (SW) offices.
Homeworking will also be considered.
Responsibilities
Conduct environmental risk assessments for plant protection products as required by EU legislation (Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009).
Provide advice to clients on plant protection product ecotoxicology and environmental risk assessment issues.
Summarise and interpret data, including study reports and published literature in ecotoxicology, and draw sound scientific and regulatory conclusions.
Perform data gap analysis, develop testing strategies, and monitor ecotoxicology studies.
Provide verbal and/or written inputs to multidisciplinary project teams, contributing high‑level strategic advice to clients and high‑quality outputs.
Qualifications & Skills
MSc.
degree or equivalent in biology, environmental science, or a relevant discipline.
Experience completing environmental risk assessments under EU plant protection product legislation, including Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong team‑working skills.
Sound judgment and decision‑making ability.
Good numeracy skills.
