Key Administration Support Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Assistant to provide critical administrative support in the day-to-day operations of our Finance Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and administering the Accounts Payable section.
Job Responsibilities
* Accounts Payable Management: Manage and administer the Accounts Payable mailbox daily, processing supplier invoices by checking compliance with internal Procurement procedures, recording primary source information, obtaining approval, payment, and issuing remittances.
* Compliance and Regulation: Ensure compliance with Revenue obligations, including tax clearance, VAT, PSWT, and RCT where applicable.
* Invoicing and Payment Processing: Carry out follow-up tasks and alerts to progress invoices to payment, particularly when information is incomplete or inaccurate.
* New Supplier Setup: Set up new supplier accounts, verifying bank details.
* Statement Reconciliation: Reconcile supplier statements, posting ad hoc payments to Integra.
* Supplier Queries and Bank Reconciliations: Deal with queries from suppliers, perform Bank Reconciliations, and petty cash.
* Month-End Accruals and Closing: Prepare month-end accruals and assist with Month end close/ad hoc cover.
About You
* Experience: 2-3 years' experience in a similar role (Finance Officer, Accounts Payable, Accounts Assistant).
* Integra Knowledge: Knowledge of Integra desirable, other large financial systems advantageous.
* High Volume Invoicing: Demonstrated experience in processing high volumes of invoices.
* Bank Reconciliations and Revenue Obligations: Must have experience in bank reconciliations, month-end, and revenue obligations.
* Accounting Principles and Reconciliation Skills: Understanding of basic accounting principles and reconciliation skills.
* Numerical Skills and Accuracy: High level of numerical skills, ability to scrutinize large volumes of data against policy and procedures, and work to a high degree of accuracy and detail.
* Computer Literacy: Good computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite, PC packages, etc).
* Public Sector Experience: Previous Public Sector experience desirable.
* Independence and Communication Skills: Ability to work independently, strong verbal and written skills.
