Role
Procurement Manager – CTO (Networks & IT).
The role traverses Technology domains and extends to Core and IP networks, RAN, Security, IT and Managed Services.
The role will join an existing Procurement and Technology Partner Management function.
The key focus areas are Networks, Access and Core, IT Hardware, Licensing, Software, Services, etc.
Responsibilities
Proactively deliver costs savings and cost avoidance to the business through the development and implementation of a living plan
Build and lead the supplier commercial relationship and performance to contracted deliverables
Run market engagements (RFx) using appropriate sourcing techniques for the goods and services procured
Reduce corporate supply and commercial risks
Fully understand and be expert in the assigned spend area, its markets and dynamics
Provide commercial leadership and market insight to business areas in sourcing strategies and key negotiations
Provide a high level of customer service to internal business partners
Act as ambassador of the Procurement function to internal and external parties
Work with the team to build the Procurement function to Best in Class within the European telecoms sector
Support the technology and legal functions in contract development post-RFP award and contract maintenance (renewals and terminations)

Skills and Qualifications
Must have
Business/Technical Degree min, e.g. IIPMM/APICS
Min 5 years procurement experience
Understanding of SaaS agreements and Cloud Computing
Nice to have
Contract law experience
Project management experience
Understanding of Agile organisational structures
Technology project management experience
