Governance ExecutiveLocation: DublinType: Full‑time or Part Time, PermanentOverviewA well‑established membership‑based organisation with a strong public profile is seeking a Governance Executive to join its Governance and Compliance function. Reporting to a senior governance leader, this role plays a critical part in supporting effective corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and high‑quality Board and Committee operations.The position would suit an experienced senior administrator or governance professional who enjoys structured work alongside project and event delivery, and who is comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders in a confidential environment.Key ResponsibilitiesGovernance, Board & Committee SupportProvide secretariat support to Boards, Councils, and CommitteesPrepare agendas, commission and proof papers, manage action logs, and take accurate minutesMaintain governance calendars, trustee records, and statutory documentationSupport senior office holders with governance administration, appointments, elections, and inductionsDraft correspondence and documentation on behalf of senior leadershipRecords, Compliance & DocumentationMaintain accurate governance records, registers, and safe custody of legal documentsEnsure declarations of interest, codes of conduct, and confidentiality forms are completed and loggedAssist with policy review and governance‑related projectsEvent & Meeting ManagementOrganise and deliver formal meetings, ceremonies, and governance‑related eventsCoordinate logistics including venues, virtual meetings, attendance, and associated arrangementsGeneral Governance SupportProvide a high‑quality, confidential administrative service to the governance functionLiaise effectively with internal and external stakeholdersSupport statutory meetings and long‑service or recognition processesPerson SpecificationExperience & KnowledgeExperience in governance administration, board/committee support, or company secretarial workProven experience dealing with confidential, sensitive informationExperience preparing board packs, agendas, and minutesExperience working with senior stakeholders, trustees, or voluntary officersKnowledge of governance or compliance within a regulated, charitable, or membership environment (preferred)QualificationsCGIG/ICSA qualified or part‑qualified (desirable but not essential)Skills & CompetenciesExcellent minute‑taking and written communication skillsStrong organisational and planning ability with high attention to detailProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); board portals or CRM systems an advantageAbility to work independently, prioritise workload, and meet deadlinesProfessional, discreet, and confident communication styleWhy Apply?A senior administrative role with real visibility and responsibilityExposure to high‑level governance and strategic decision‑makingVaried role combining structured governance work with projects and eventsSupportive and professional working environment
