As a member of the Glenveagh Properties team, you will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most talented and experienced professionals in the industry, and to be a part of a dynamic and innovative organization that is dedicated to delivering the highest quality projects.The Design Manager will report to and support the Head of Design in ensuring that a consistent high-quality design is delivered across the Glenveagh portfolio of commercial and residential projects and will work across functions in order to improve standard and quality of product, while also introducing efficiencies.Key Responsibilities And DutiesManage the design process during the preconstruction stage and throughout the construction stage using commercial, contractual, programme/time awareness and technical expertise and always endeavour to identify VE opportunities.Manage and coordinate specialist subcontractor design input and facilitate workshops to agree/establish timelinesManage the involvement of the design team input and approval process of the supply chainDevelop relationships with design team and project stakeholders during early concept stages; manage expectations of the project through regular communication and discussions regarding requirements and specificationsManage construction design team meetings and record minutes and issue to the team and follow up on actionsContribute and assist with the appointment and vetting of the Design Team and evaluate the Design Team performanceContribute and assist to ensure terms and conditions of appointment/novation are acceptableEstablish and maintain effective communication channels between design team and the wider Glenveagh departments as requiredEnsure design information is of the right quality and keeps pace with project timescales. Design information/package to be coordinated with the procurement programmeAttend Planning, Construction and Design Team meetings to monitor and record progress of actions and identify problemsMaintain a professional image for the Company in all dealings with public and stakeholdersOther ad hoc duties that the Company may require from time to timeRequirementsThe ideal candidate will be qualified in Architecture or Engineering with significant post graduate experience, preferably working with a developer on large residential projectsA good understanding on statutory and regulatory compliance and an ability to review and comment on designs and track design team performanceExperience using AutoCAD.
