We have a fantastic new vacancy for a Senior Receptionist in the excellent 4 Star Claregalway Hotel.
Objectives of the Role:
Reporting to the Front Office Manager to ensure the smooth running of the front desk, conferences and events. To greet guests, answer phones/emails and to ensure the Front Desk is operated according to the Claregalway Hotel's Standard Operating Procedures.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* To report for duty on time and in the correctly presented uniform.
* To ensure that all guest requests are met regarding room allocation i.e.: VIP, special requests, groups requirements etc.
* To ensure that your work area is always maintained in a clean and organised manner
* To ensure that the trending website is updated when required
* To ensure that all account to company bills have the relevant backup and a sales ledger account is set up with routine instructions in place
* To process no shows on a daily basis ensuring that the revenue raised and recorded daily
* To identify any regular customers
* To file reservations back up in a neat and organised manner
* To answer promptly daily enquiries & reservations via phone & email.
* To assist our customers to find the necessary booking requirements for their stay
* To cover reception shifts.
* Co-ordinate weekly groups, rooming lists, and communicate to the F&B team
* To assist the Front Office Manager in the administration and management of the third party websites and GDS.
* To assist the Front Office Manager with staff training and keeping Sop's up to date.
* To professionally deal with any guest complaints in a timely manner.
* To be aware and follow the hotel rate strategy
* To be knowledgeable about all the different packages and rates on offer at one time.
* To make sure that Company Policy, the Vision Statement, and Departmental objectives are followed and utilised at all times
* To be fully aware of the Hotel's Fire Safety Procedures and Health & Safety regulations.
* To attend all training courses as notified to you.
* Perform other duties as required.
Requirements:
* Minimum of two year's experience in a Senior Reception role in the hospitality industry.
* Customer focus.
* Attention to detail.
* Ambition to develop.
* Excellent level of English both oral and written
