The Role
They are seeking aSenior R&D Engineerto join their high-impact Research & Development team. This is a hands-on, design-focused role where you’ll drive projects from early-stage concept through to production — contributing directly to life-changing medical technologies.
As a key contributor, you’ll collaborate with physicians, engineers, and product managers to turn clinical needs into innovative products. You’ll lead design activities, manage project timelines, and champion engineering excellence across every phase of development.
What You'll Do
* Design, prototype, test, and refine medical devices that meet clinical, quality, and regulatory requirements
* Lead cross-functional project teams and ensure timely achievement of project milestones
* Develop and execute verification/validation protocols, manage risk analysis, and own the Design History File
* Conduct research on new therapies, materials, and technologies to enhance the product pipeline
* Collaborate with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and clinical teams to align solutions with real-world needs
* Support regulatory submissions and ensure all development activities meet ISO13485 and FDA CFR 820 standards
* Mentor junior engineers and foster innovation and continuous improvement within the team
* Communicate progress and results clearly across engineering, manufacturing, and business leadership teams
Who You Are
* Degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, Science, Design Engineering or related field (Master’s or PhD preferred)
* 5+ years of experience in medical device development, from concept through commercialization
* Proven project leadership and strong problem-solving abilities
* Proficient in SolidWorks/Pro Engineer and statistical tools like Minitab or Excel
* Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and material performance in medical applications
* Hands-on knowledge of manufacturing processes, regulatory systems, and quality standards
* Excellent communicator, team player, and self-starter with a quality-focused mindset
