Job DescriptionLocation:The Plaza Hotel, Belgard Square South, TallaghtJoin our fabulous team at The Plaza as Night PorterTheNight Porteris an important position working closely with the Night Manager.About The Plaza HotelWelcome to The Plaza Hotel Dublin with 122 well-appointed ensuite bedrooms, state of the art conference facilities & excellent cuisine.Over the last 2 years, the entire interior of the 4-star hotel has been extensively refurbished, now comprising of exciting new eateries. The hotel now offers 122 spacious, comfortable and ensuite bedrooms along with a number of large suites. Two large and naturally lit event spaces, together with 4 meeting suites allow for conferences and events of all sizes, ranging from 5-200 people.Key Duties And ResponsibilitiesIn the event that a guest is late arriving from his/her destination, check-in procedures will be required to be carried out.The guest will be made to ensure that he/she is made comfortable and any food and beverage requirements that he/she may have is catered for.Porterage service.Room Service/Bar Service as requested by guestsCleaning duties or any other duties outlined by the Front Office manager/Night Auditor on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.Ensuring that all bar service is adhered to, in relation to our licensing restrictions.Ensuring all fire and safety procedures have been carried out and recorded, as per your remit.Ensuring the safety/security and comfort of our members / guests and owners at all times by monitoring all areas of vulnerability i.e. machinery / doors / equipment / gas fires and or cookers etc.To perform the Night Audit procedures, if required.To carry out any cleaning duties as indicated by the Night Manager on a daily / weekly / or monthly basis.Check-out procedures, if guest is checking-out before Front Desk commence in the morning.HEALTH & SAFETYTo ensure that reasonable care is taken for health and safety of yourself, other employees, guests and any other person on the premises.To keep your work area tidy and safe and report any hazard, accident, loss or damage to management.To be aware of trained first-aid personnel on the premises and the location of first aid box.To observe all safety rules and procedures, including those laid down in the Health & Safety Statement for your place of work.Reports all potential and real hazards immediatelyFully understands the hotel's fire, emergency, and bomb proceduresCo-ordinates work, and works in a safe manner that does not harm or injure self or othersAnticipates possible and probable hazards and conditions to avoid mishapsKeeps the highest standards of personal hygiene, dress, appropriate uniform, appearance, and conductThis job description is not all inclusive and is intended as an outline of the responsibilities and requirements of the role.
