We are recruiting a Financial Controller for a client in Dublin City Centre. The role is permanent, part-time, 3 days a week, and hybrid. The client is located a 5-minute walk from a DART station. Experience in professional services is required.
The Financial Controller will manage all financial activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with business objectives. This position involves planning, executing, and delivering essential financial operations and strategic projects, working closely with the CEO, Senior Leadership Team, and Practice Leads to support the company's growth and financial health. We seek a confident individual comfortable working with all levels of our team within our growing and scaling business, with the ability to present and communicate key financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
The ideal candidate should have a strong attention to detail and a thorough understanding of accounting processes and requirements. They should help the organization achieve its short- and long-term goals. Knowledge of professional services operational processes is essential. Responsibilities include handling complex accounting tasks, streamlining the book-closing process, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and standards. The role involves significant interaction with senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan: Develop financial strategies aligned with company objectives, lead accounts administration, and coordinate key financial programs and projects.
Execute: Prepare weekly financial reports, monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and ensure compliance with financial regulations. Manage budgets, forecast profits, cash flow, and payroll.
Provide: Offer financial analysis and support to leadership, improve processes, and oversee payroll operations.
Deliver: Ensure strong control environment, manage revenue reconciliation, implement new systems, and build stakeholder relationships.
Requirements:
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role within a multi-million euro business
Strong knowledge of financial regulations and reporting standards
Experience with forecasting, billing, expense management, and executive reporting
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Salesforce, Xero, and BrightPay
