Role Description:This is a hands-on role involving the full lifecycle of machine control systems—from concept development through to commissioning and support. You'll be working on high-tech automated equipment, playing a key part in the design and implementation of complex control systems. A Valid Irish Driving licence is requiredWhat you'll do:Design and integrate control system software for automated machinery, including PLCs, robotics, motion control, HMI, SCADA, and vision systemsDevelop, test, commission, and provide ongoing support for control software solutionsDefine system architectures, develop process flows, and produce software design specificationsEnsure compliance with relevant safety and electrical standards (e.g., CE, machinery directives)Interpret and develop documentation required for regulated environmentsSpecify control system hardware components based on project needsWork directly with clients during the full project lifecycle including commissioning and after-sales supportThe Requirements:Proven experience in automation system design and developmentStrong hands-on experience with PLCs and HMI/SCADA platforms (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, Omron or similar)Understanding of software architecture principles and industry standards (e.g., GAMP, ISA88/95, 21 CFR Part 11)Demonstrated ability in equipment testing, troubleshooting and commissioningExperience preparing and reviewing technical documentation in compliance-heavy industriesWorking knowledge of robotics, motion control systems, machine vision, and pneumaticsA Valid Irish Driving licence
