Superintendent Pharmacist – Uniphar Group
We are seeking a strategic, dynamic and enthusiastic Superintendent Pharmacist to oversee the operation of a Point of Care dispensing pharmacy in County Dublin.
Point of Care pharmacy operates a clinical pharmacy service dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care outside of the traditional hospital setting and in line with the community pharmacy sector.

Responsibilities
* Operate the Pharmacy in accordance with all legal requirements.
* Develop, update policies and procedures in response to new acquisitions or regulatory changes.
* Follow agreed policies, procedures and safe practices in the workplace.
* Handle Point of Care patient and client complaints, both formal and informal.
* Manage the Pharmacy Practice Assessment System.
* Clinically review all patient prescriptions for appropriateness and safety.
* Schedule and demand plan pharmacy services and Point of Care outpatient programmes.
* Cold Chain Management and maintain GDP.
* Maintain excellent stock control, rotation of stock, appropriate levels, approved suppliers and inventory database.
* Manage efficient running of the dispensary; supervise operation, procurement, storage and supply of pharmaceuticals.
* Ensure accurate records of procurement, storage, quality control, dispensing, distribution and destruction.
* Act on product defect, recall and caution notifications.
* Maintain computer records and paperwork for various programmes.
* Manage the Point of Care/Uniphar Quality Management System (QMS).
* Maintain an Error Management system within the Pharmacy.
* Ensure highest standards of tidiness, dispensary hygiene, and compliance with all Health and Safety requirements.
* Be accountable for professional practice through regular continuing education and training.
* Participate in meetings and conference calls as requested.
Requirements
* 5 years post-qualification experience as a registered pharmacist with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland.
* Previous supervising/managing pharmacist and management experience desirable.
* Strong clinical skills: hospital or home‑care pharmacy experience advantageous.
* Ability to balance multiple projects and services within agreed timescales.
* Proven ability to manage and work with a team.
* Attention to detail is essential.
* Good flexibility and commitment to working as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
Minimum 5 years experience, with management experience preferred. Uniphar Group is an equal opportunity employer.
